Visited in person by Dr. Katherine Kennedy. Personally experienced
Singapore is the closest thing I have seen to a city treated as an engineering brief: water, transit, housing and greenery solved together rather than separately.
And then there are hawker centres, where all of that planning gives way to plastic stools, queues and the best value meals in Asia.
A longer version of this story, with specific stalls and neighbourhoods, is in preparation.
Singapore proves that planning and character are not opposites. — Dr. Katherine Kennedy
