Kennedy Travel exists because of a simple frustration: the internet is full of places to book and very short on people who have actually been. Every destination guide here begins with somewhere Kate has travelled herself.

Kate is an engineer and entrepreneur by training, a storyteller by instinct and a traveller by long habit. She reads cities the way she reads systems — how they move people, where the design decisions show, which neighbourhood tells you the most in an afternoon. That is the lens the writing on this site is built from.

Formal writing on this site is published as Dr. Katherine Kennedy. In conversation — a planning session, a note on a recommendation, a story — she's simply Kate.

What that means for you: recommendations are labelled honestly. Places Kate has personally experienced are marked as such. Places that came out of research, or that the trip planner generated for you, are marked differently, and nothing is presented as a firsthand recommendation until it is one. Specific venues, dates and prices appear only once they can be verified.
